why is this your favorite?
ReplyDeleteHmm, good question. I've always been intrigued by faces in art...well-painted faces that is. (although quite reluctant to decorate my house with all these anonymous faces...so far I have only one large one, "Einstein". People who come over either love it or hate it)
ReplyDeleteIn this particular painting I sense a lot of emotion. She feels very real to me. Working out her dreams of becoming an artist, and yet what is she hiding? Why so much solemnity (black)? The color blue is very striking. This painting makes me want to meet her.
